Location and Accommodation

Teaching takes place at Oxford International College, conveniently situated close to Oxford city centre and opposite spacious South Park. The college boasts light, modern class rooms, labs, art rooms, large student study room and a student café area. Students' accommodation and meals are at nearby St Edmund Hall, one of  the university of Oxford's 38 colleges. Dating back to the thirteenth century, St Edmund Hall is surrounded by medieval walls, areas of which are the ancient city walls complete with stone staircases and slits through which arrows were fired to repel intruders!

At St Edmund Hall, students may use the college library, the converted Norman church of St-Peter-in-the-East in the college grounds. The porters' lodge is at the college entrance, where there are staff on-duty 24 hours a day.  In addition, the Oxford Summer Academy staff are in residence with the students, ensuring a safe and secure environment for the participants.

Accommodation is in twin study-bedrooms, but single rooms may be available on request. Each study-bedroom has a telephone, on which incoming calls may be directly received, and wireless internet access. As is usual in UK university accommodation, there are shared bathrooms and kitchens on each floor. Additionally, each room also has a wash basin and shaving socket. Bedlinen and towels are provided and there are laundry facilities within the College.

Breakfast and dinner are taken in the college dining hall each day.
